Hello Tokyo 2018.

Japan / Nov 9, 2018 / 0 Comments

It’s been awhile Tokyo, 3 whole years to be exact. Not that I’m constantly aware, or anything. It’s Friday, October 5th, 2018 as I’m typing this and I’m here for an 8 week internship for my degree, Marketing Communications. I haven’t written since 2016 for many reasons, the main one being I’m never quite sure how to aim this site! Is it a blog? Is it an informative, trendy article site? Who knows! But I guess while I’m figuring that out I can tell you my stories here. πŸ™‚

Before I go into Tokyo-specifics yet, I want to mention that I’ve really upped my anime convention game and really dove into cosplay! I have so much I could write about, from guides to going to away-from-home cons and how to survive group cosplays. I’d love to make a Youtube video for every idea I have, but videos are a lot more difficult to make interesting. I can do visuals, but I’m such a blubber mouth on video.

It’s been such a wild ride from the time I got back from Japan to when I arrived here again last Saturday. 2016 and this year was especially difficult for me emotionally, there’s been loss of many kinds (no, not the meme) and internal quarter life crisis, who-am-I type battles that I won’t exactly delve into. I would like to tell you about what I’ve learned in the theme of this blog, though, because it all ties so closely with Japan, anime, and personal expression. If that’s something you’re interested in, you should follow my mailing list or my Twitter/Instagram!
